And nice A4 DB.it was either TA31RCO-A4 OR build a custom 1911. So i chose the 1911Good choice.accessories will always be around and will always be improving.sadly we can't be guaranteed that guns will always be around. I wish my Sabre upper w/ RAS would get here from PK Firearms. I almost can't take it anymore. I've also got a TA31F on layaway to round out of the rifle.Update.it arrived yesterday.Sabre M4 upper with Sabre 20' govt profile barrel.KAC M5 RASColt FA BCGColt CHColt A2 BUISLMT complete lowerA2 stock given to me by Zen Grasshopper (Thanks Jon)Sighted it in today with the irons. I don't know why, but I was shooting better with it than my 6920 w/ an Aimpoint M3. I really like this rifle.
Just waiting to get my TA31F off layaway, trying to figure out what BUIS I want and get the necessary Blue Force Gear components to use my Vickers Sling to round out the package. I sold a Marlin 39a and a S&W 686 to finance this A4 build. I had been wanting it for awhile. Very rarely do I sell gun, but with additions to my family I have had do some sacrificing.I would love to have the KAC rail and the TA31RCO-A4. But I just cant justify selling off another gun or two just to get some $1200 optics, that if I am honest with myself(i hate doing that), may only see the range 3 or 4 times a year.Hopefully I can swing the rail setup before too long, but I will have to write off the ACOG dream for quite awhile.
I have absolutely no complaints about the Aimpoint. My regular range is only 150 yards long, so I can't personally vouch for any range beyond that.yet. At 150 yards, standing-offhand, it's almost mindless to hit 6'x 6' steel plates. The first time I shot with a reflex/red dot optic I felt like I was cheating.I was in the same position you are: ACOG vs Aimpoint.
The Aimpoint made sense to me due to the type of shooting I normally do, not to mention the much smaller pricetag. If I routinely shot longer distances and could justify the need for magnification, the benefits of the ACOG might outweigh the price difference. Hey, I know there is another 'grapple thread' but unsure that you-all are connected/subscribed and since I have been communicating with both I thought I'd include you/this one, just in case.It does not take too many hours of operation and you get proficient enough to pick your nose, scratch your balls, floss your teeth and wipe your. with this EA 66' wicked-root-grapple-bucket (NOT in that order;+).YOU asked for more action pics so here is. Today I made a crib for/stacked some sizable pine logs but forgot to take pics. Soon.BTW, those are NOT the dreaded palmettos.
That is a palm grove with 300 of my stock-in-trade mixed palm trees I JUST pruned (using a small chain saw) and have SIX X 6' piles of palm fronds with nasty barbs-spines/sharp-cutting leaves/wasp nests/red-fire ants. The EA grapple-bucket will be moving/burning them soon (no more pitch-forks;+) along with 125 other mixed brush piles from hurricane IRMA.This 66' grapple also handles small brush well.If you do not want me to post here and there please LMK.Hey, can anyone help me figure out how to create/post/include an avatar??Enjoy. I asked the question via eBay and this is the responseNew message from: wgaequipment (3,455Red Star)Yes this one is for full size, we offer it in several types, we normally will always call and confirm your model before shippingso I will give them a call in the morning to confirm the opening and then likely order it. I think EA is getting away with awful high pricing, particularly since I am beyond EAs 1000 mile free shipment range which puts EA double the price of these guys.EA model I was looking at is ETA-SLRG-54.
$1690 plus shipping. This one is $899 including shipping. Plus 6 inches more narrow. These guys are not returning my call on the opening dimension.
I did google and found a review indicating only a 24 to 30 inch opening on the grapple. So I am crossing these guys off my list of possible narrow light grapples. And yes, of course continue to post pictures, that is what this thread is all about. There are plenty of discussion threads, this one is for PICS PICS PICS!We don't care if it's a EA 'wicked' grapple, WR Long, Millonzi, ANBO, narrow, wide, dual, single, heavy, light etc. We try to keep this thread judgment free and concentrate on more pics and action shots. Videos would get bonus points.(I'd post some videos but I 'landed' my DJI Drone in the Cape Cod Canal 3 weeks after I bought it). Great photos of your new toy!

Here are a few pics from today. Dropped the Box-Blade, installed the 3-point-receiver with the pintle-hitch and hooked-up to the Vermeer BC 900 for a day of chipping.
I burn some brush and chip some for botanical-bedding/potting-soil/ground-cover.Also, I isolate/save all red cedar and chip it separately. It provides excellent insect-control and is an enjoyable fragrance around the farmhouse. I meant to take pics of this operation but basically I pull the chipper to the 'cedar pile' and chip into an enclosed trailer to be spread strategically. The combination of tractor/hydraulic-do-dads/3-point accoutrements/grapple-bucket/chipper make this rig an awesome apparatus. We get it done with a little fun/finesse.Enjoy.
